Ronda Bresnick Hauss, LCSW
Founder, Quiet Waters Center
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with an expertise in working with stress, anxiety, depression and trauma.
I am licensed to provide mental health services in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
I earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and client centered. My work ranges from being solution focused - such as helping to reduce everyday stress or address relationship difficulties - to assisting people with the complex issues related to severe trauma, grief and loss.
I believe that we all have the natural abilities to overcome difficulties and resolve our problems. Sometimes we need help, however, to re-connect with these capacities. Therapy can be a powerful way to develop and refine the tools you need to facilitate your growth.
In addition to providing therapy, I also write a monthly column for a community newspaper called the Hill Rag, published by Capital Community News, in Washington, D.C. I am including a link to that paper here so that, if you wish, you can take a look at the articles I have written on mental health issues, which include topics such as dealing with stress, pursuing happiness, how to fight fairly, coping with loneliness, dating for the shy person, the use of hypnosis in therapy, and the meaning of our dreams.
